Mrs Naish is Chair of the CDP sub-committee, Mrs Brodrick-Barker is Chair of the Staffing sub-committee and Vice-Chair of the FGB, Mrs Stoddart is Chair of Finance sub-committee

Mrs Atkins joined in May 2016

Mrs Bacon was working abroad but retained her place as a co-opted Governor until the end of her term in Sept 2016.

The Governing Body reconstituted 17th September 2014

There are no declared pecuniary interests; the only “relationship interests” declared are Mr Corbett’s wife is a TA, and Mr Campbell’s wife is a lunchtime supervisor.

Finance

Membership is agreed at the first FGB  meeting of the school year and a chairperson elected. The Finance committee duties include – overseeing the financial performance of the school and making sure it’s money is well spent. Managing the school’s budget. Preparing a financial strategy for the school. Completing the SFVS audit. The committee report back at each FGB meeting to consider and ratify all its decisions.

Curriculum, Data & Performance (CPD)

Membership is agreed at the first FGB meeting of the school year and a chairperson elected. The CPD committee duties include – making certain the school delivers a broad and balanced curriculum. Making certain the school makes good use of the Pupil Premium grant. To assess the quality of the Teaching and Learning provided by the school. To assess the progress of the current pupils and to assess pupils outcomes. The committee report back at each FGB meeting to consider and ratify all its decisions.

Staffing

Membership is agreed at the first FGB meeting of the school year and a chairperson elected. The Staffing committee duties include – the appointment and dismissing of staff. Ensuring equal opportunities are in place at the school. Reviewing the school Appraisal and Performance policies. Ensuring staff discipline. The committee report back at each FGB meeting to consider and ratify all its decisions.
